Disciple Light

Come experience Disciple Light! Every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30pm, every

student is encouraged to join us for Music service and Bible Study. At Disciple Light, children will learn about being a disciple of Christ and the importance of Christian community. Components of the program will include music, Bible study, and fellowship. Students will learn how to serve Christ through serving others. They will learn that God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. Together we will learn acceptance and appreciation of one another. Parents, grandparents,

and friends, are encouraged to be a part of this opportunity to develop strong

Christian leaders and Disciples of Christ. This is an opportunity for each one of us to fulfill the vows we take as a congregation each time a child of God is baptized, confirmed in the faith, or becomes a member of our congregation. We teach our children most effectively when we become the example for them to follow. Contact Stacy Goetz at to register your children, volunteer your time, and request more information about this incredible disciple and Church growing ministry.

Rally Day

LaPorte United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Rally Day on Sunday September 10. This is our time to kick off a new school year and get everyone ready to go for the upcoming year.

This year as a part of this day we will be holding a Ministry Fair. Through this ministry fair our hope is to give people an opportunity to learn about the different members of this body of Christ so we can prayerfully consider how the Lord is calling each of us to participate in His mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world! During this time we will also be having a pot luck luncheon. Please come out and join us for this amazing day!

Sunday School: 9:30am

Worship: 11am

Vacation Bible Camp

At Maker Fun Factory VBC, children don’t just hear about God’s love; they see it, touch it, sing it, taste it, and put it into action through God Sightings. As they travel from station to station, they go deeper into their understanding of God and God’s Son, Jesus. Most importantly, children learn that because Jesus loves us, he came to die for our sins and make a way for us to live with God forever. God loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us. Jesus died and took the punishment for all the wrong things we do. But Jesus is stronger than death, and he came back to life! Jesus wants to be our friend forever. If we ask him to, he’ll take away the wrong things we’ve done and fill our lives with his love. Jesus will always be with us and will help us make the right choices. If we believe in Jesus and ask him to forgive us, someday we’ll live with him forever.

We have simplified registration this year by making a form for you to complete online. Click here for this form.

Children's Church

   Children's Church has finally arrived!

Children's Church has started and is going well. We have an average of 15 kids but we would love to have more!

What is the purpose of church?

  •     We believe the purpose of church is to learn about God, Worship God, and strengthen your heart so that God can impower you to go out into the world to love those in need! Well, sometimes a traditional service aimed towards adults cannot do that for children, so we created "Children's Church!"

After the Children's sermon in the traditional service, at 11:00am children ages 5-12 years old will come to the Sunday School room to hear music, prayer, and a sermon geared towards their age!
